Finding out what makes me, me
I've always been a versatile person. I'm a fast learner and could probably learn anything if I put my heart into it. Today, we were asked to come up with a mind map surrounding the 3 main topics: skills, interests and experience. Skills are about what we can do and what we're good at, interests are about what we like to do during our free time or what we would like to learn or do in the future and experiences include our past work experience and modules learnt.
The task was was funny at first because I wondered why did we have to do that since it seemed a bit narcissist to talk about myself? But I understood it later on because some people make a living just from having a prominent personal brand. Some examples are like Paris Hilton who's personal brand is a typical rich blonde girl with a sarcastic humour on her the stereotypes of herself being a total spoilt heiress. Other personal brands that are really common nowadays are social media influencers, youtubers and bloggers. Each of them have something that is uniquely themselves, whether it is their physical appearance, unique talent or even their personality characteristics.
It was quite hard to think at first, like I wondered what am I actually good at. Luckily I had Dave and Joy, and we helped each other come up by telling one another what we're good at. After we were done, Anisa came to help us summarize all our points into 3 main words that describe our personal brand identity. So here are the 3 words that describe me most.
To be honest, I knew of I had these traits in me but somehow when we had to think and write it out, in that moment it never occurred to me as much. Surprisingly, alot of my skills, interests and experiences related back to being creative the most which is something I wish to do in my future career as a digital marketer. But I'm quite glad these 3 words were concluded because even Dave and Joy agreed it was totally me.

Here's my personal brand. From the left, you can tell I'm creative but in a weird and quirky way which kind of describes my personality. I love dressing cute but chic and I have the weirdest humour ever. If someone is ever laughing during inappropriate moments, that person would probably be me.
The middle we have a glittered up "GIRL BOSS" which describes the leadership qualities I have. Also, the millennial pink backdrop kind of shows the feminist side of me and that I'd like to be my own boss in the future. Hopefully for something that has strong meaning to it because everything I do, I put my all into it.
In the far right we have a neat, organized vanity and work space which describes my organized self. I tend to plan out my daily schedule and often do spring cleaning and redecorating in my own room. Organizer trays are my best friends because I love sorting everything perfectly into their respective categories. I think if there was a demand for a house or closet organizer like Drew Barrymore's character in the movie Blended, I'd be the first to sign up.

Lastly, my future plans moving forward in building my personal brand is to do more creative work since it's something I love doing, but other than creating illustrations and graphics, I'd like to try photography, interior decorating and maybe branding as I don't want to limit myself into just doing fashion since the fashion scene back in Malaysia isn't that big.
