My dream account
As you all may know or have read through my "About" page, I'm a fashion student from Raffles College of Higher Education, Singapore. However, not everything about me is all fashion. I actually really love art, interior decorating, travelling and food. Okay, who am I kidding? Who doesn't like food!
So what did I mean by my dream account? It's definitely not my dream bank account but more like my dream social media account I wish to share my interests in. Like once you see it, you'll know that's posted by me. Something like an online portfolio of yourself that shows who you are as a person. Maybe a side line to my academic blog. So why did I choose to blog about this on my academic blog? I wanted to do this because with me intending to head for the digital marketing direction, I had to show I have some form of art direction so what better way to do it with a well curated social media feed. Also, I think it's a great way for my future employers to know my style and learn that I'm not just a fashion person, but I'm someone more versatile than that.
Since this social media will be about my interests and how I see the world, it'll feature posts with quirky aesthetics related to fashion, food, travel, interior decorating and everything in between. The photos will not only be aesthetically pleasing, some of them hold meaning to it in terms of empowering woman. In modern day society, women are still constantly being objectified and judged for everything they do. As someone who faces this on a regular basis, this is something I believe strongly upon to do. I've always been someone who loves spreading positive vibes to the people around me as I feel like there's just too much negativity in this world. Therefore, creating this social media account holds something deep and important in my heart because it's for all the woman out there to remind them that they're strong for the individuals they are and they can be anything they want to be as long as they've set their mind to it. The real Instagram account is currently in the works but here's the mock-up account on what to expect!
